Day 01 : Arrival & Proceed to Negombo

Journey: Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport and proceed to Negombo.

 Day 2: VISIT FROM NEGOMBO TO SIGIRIYA

Journey: Travel from Negombo to Yapahuwa and Sigiriya
Sightseeing: 

  • En route Visit to Explore the ancient Yapahuwa Rock Fortress, built in the 13th century by King Bhuvanekabahu I. Climb the grand stone stairway for sweeping views of the surrounding plains and admire the ornate carvings that showcase Sri Lanka’s medieval artistry. Day 3: VISIT POLONNARUWA AND EXPLORE ANCIENT RUINS

Journey:Travel around Polonnaruwa area

Dambulla to Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of Sri Lanka.
Sightseeing: Explore this archaeological paradise, home to stunning temples, statues, and well-preserved ruins from the 11th-13th centuries.

  • Explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, home to the Royal Palace Complex of King Parakramabahu, the beautifully carved Quadrangle, the towering Rankoth Vehera and Lankatilaka Temple, and the serene granite Buddha statues of Gal Vihara.Enjoy breathtaking views from the summit.
  • Discover the peaceful and less-crowded ancient site of Medirigiriya, surrounded by lush greenery and timeless tranquility. Its main attraction, the circular relic house (Vatadage), features beautifully carved stone pillars and a serene atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for photography and quiet reflection.

Day 4: VISIT SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS AND PIDURUTALAGALA ROCK

Journey:Travel around Sigiriya area.

Sightseeing:

  • Begin your day with an early morning climb to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic landmarks. Ascend through the Lion’s Paw entrance, admire the ancient frescoes on the rock walls, and enjoy breathtaking views from the summit palace ruins as the morning light illuminates the landscape.
  • In the evening, visit Pidurangala Rock, located just a short distance from Sigiriya. The climb is slightly easier and offers a stunning panoramic view of Sigiriya Rock itself, especially beautiful at sunset when the sky glows in shades of gold and orange.

Day 5 : TRANSFER FROM DAMBULLA TO KANDY. VISIT THE TEMPLE AND SPICE GARDEN & EXPLORE TRADITIONAL DANCING SHOW

 

Journey:Travel from Sigiriya to Kandy

  • Visit to the magnificent Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its stunning cave paintings and over 150 Buddha statues. Explore the beautifully preserved murals and marvel at the artistry that dates back more than 2,000 years.
